Mr.R.Larencce, founder of Larencce Charitable Trust is well known to everyone of us as a popular Choreographer cum Actor – Director - Music Director of Tamil and Telugu Cinema. A Well Known Artist who has been surrounded by funs and glory, didn’t get consumed by the glamorous film world, but started working for a noble cause, serving Humanity, setting example for others. Larencce Charitable Trust is a voluntary, non government organization located in Chennai, Which is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu and is India’s fourth largest metropolitan city, popularly known as “Gateway to South India”. Registered and formed under the Trust Deed and registered with Income Tax Authority 80 G in 2006 and has been working for the welfare of the needy, who are socially, economically and physically challenged.
How it all started
Mr.R.Larencce in his childhood was suffering from Brain Tumor and was paralyze one side. And was victim of numerous diseases and suffered his childhood with pain. He knew what it is to experience pain. And he couldn’t get into regular schools and his education has come to an end by 10th standard. At that time, he decided to educate atleast 10 deserving students and help physically challenged individuals in his life time. But today, with his success in film industry and by the grace of god, he is running a residential school-support program educating nearly 60 students, residential program for differently abled, catering the needs of 30 individuals, Dance School for physically challenged individuals and we have more than 10 trained dancers from the school and working for the cause of heart surgery of 36 Children. Apart from these regular services, the trust has supported various individuals to start a livelihood, helped various individuals for their medical expenses and educational costs. In near future, the number of services will keep multiplying.
Aims and objective
• To promote social, cultural, literary and charitable activities.
• To establish and maintain home for the aged, physically challenged and less privileged people of all caste, creed and religion.
• To provide health services and curative medical services to the poor in general and the aged physically challenged and disabled persons, destitute women and children in particular.
• To help and support heart surgery of children.
• To establish, maintain and subsidize schools, colleges for both professional and technical degree courses.
• To start a school with good standards for providing education to students of all caste, creed and religion.
